Olivia Stowell is an Assistant Professor of Media Studies, General Faculty at the University of Virginia. Her research and writing focus on race and labor in contemporary television, digital cultures, and popular media. Her monograph project explores how U.S. reality television processes the cultural and political questions animating the zeitgeist, arguing that the world is becoming more reality-televisual.
