Olivia Stowell is a Ph.D. student in the department of Communication & Media at the University of Michigan. Her research and writing focus on race, embodiment, and temporality in contemporary television and pop culture, particularly exploring discursive formations of race, racism, and racialization on twenty-first century reality television.
